Future of Energy & Innovation

Charging Stations;

The use of energy consumption for all sectors varies, depending on the increasing temperatures on a global scale. Electrical power generated in the electricity generation sector, the sector most frequent in carbon emissions, is being transformed by the use of consumer technologies to achieve the objectives of zero carbon emissions, while the latter is attempting to achieve as renewable and/or clean as possible, depending on targets. As part of this, our company plans to invest in charging stations that need to be built for electric vehicles and contribute to such a viable world.

Storage Technology;

Since electric power is a real-time type of energy, the power value generated momentarily and the power value consumed must equal each other. If this equation is disturbed, the system may become unstable and consequently, electrical breakdowns may occur. In order to prevent this, grid operators want the estimated pre-day generation values from the generation plants and therefore are planning for the next day. Given renewable energy sources in that respect, it is difficult to estimate the generation value due to the natural conditions that change during the day, depending on the seasons entirely. To this extent, evolving storage technologies are technically a very convenient solution to address this problem. At times when not all of the energy generated can be delivered to the power system, this extra energy can be stored with energy battery systems and utilized by selling stored energy at the time of need and hours when electricity prices are high. This makes it possible to provide constant, continuous output power from plants based on renewable energy sources. Commercially, moreover, the use of this technology is feasible for investors due to falling battery technology prices. In this context, our company plans investments in storage, both for the sake of greater national reliability and for the greater return of plants in its portfolio.
