Our Sustainability Policy

As RHG Enertürk Enerji A.Ş. (“RHG Enertürk”, “Company”), we accept and undertake our responsibility to support Türkiye's transition to renewable energy and the development of clean energy infrastructure within the scope of Türkiye's 2053 Net Zero targets. We aim to play an active role in Türkiye's transition to a low-carbon economy with our 100% renewable energy production, micro production projects, electric vehicle charging units and investments in energy storage. We aim for net zero emissions from our operations by 2053. In this context, we encourage our entire value chain to reduce carbon emissions.

In addition to our net-zero goal, we are endeavoring to minimize our impact in other environmental areas. We establish the mechanisms needed to monitor and improve our performance on water management, zero waste policy and circular economy, biodiversity and waste management.

We do care about creating a positive impact for the society of which we are a part and our internal and external stakeholders. In this context, we monitor our social performance.

We believe that transparency, traceability and accountability are of components of utmost significance of institutionalism. We strengthen our corporate structure within the framework of global principles and share our performance with our entire stakeholders.

In this direction, we have drawn up and established our Sustainability Policy to declare the basic sustainability principles guiding our activities and operations.

 

1. OBJECTIVE

This policy has been established in order to ensure that RHG Enertürk's business model, all activities and business processes are compatible with the sustainability strategy of the organization; to observe environmental, social and economic sustainability and corporate governance in all activities of the company, and to understand the sustainability and goals and objectives, expectations and performance criteria of the institution by all stakeholders.

 

2. SCOPE

Sustainability Policy covers the following,

·       All executives and employees of RHG Enertürk Enerji A.Ş. and its affiliates,

·       In case the Company has subsidiaries and affiliates, the liaison offices abroad and the employees thereof,

·       The companies from which we receive goods and services and their employees and 

·       Companies from which we receive outsourced services; persons and organizations working on behalf of the Company, including consultants, lawyers, advisers and external auditors, and other persons, including customers with whom the Company has commercial relations

.

 

3. IMPLEMENTATION

As RHG Enertürk, we agree and undertake the following provisions as our Sustainability Policy;

·       Oberving the environmental, social and economic sustainability and corporate governance principles in all our activities and operations,

·       Expanding the geographical scope of our country's green energy supply by increasing the installed capacity of green, clean and renewable energy,

·       Supporting the renewable energy transformations of industrial organizations with industrial renewable energy collaborations by using our engineering competencies and sector knowledge, thus contributing to the green transformation of Türkiye's industry,

·       Considering the environmental, social and economic impacts in all our activities and investments and observing these dimensions in decisions regarding business activities,

·       Adopting a zero waste policy, minimizing our wastes in this context and developing and implementing circular economy solutions,

·       Regularly monitoring and improving our water management performance,

·       Preserving the biodiversity and analyzing our impact regularly, taking measures to eliminate it in case of adverse impact,

·       Taking into account the expectations and priorities of our stakeholders while determining our goals and objectives,

·       Ensuring that our strategy and investments are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contributing to the SDGs along with their sub-goals,

·       Disclosing the management of our environmental, social and economic impacts at regular intervals in accordance with international standards and frameworks,

·       Monitoring and disclosing our performance in the area of occupational health and safety in order to provide a safe working environment for our employees, implementing improvement practices by acting with the principle of continuous improvement,

·       Calculating, monitoring and disclosing the greenhouse gas emission emissions arising from our activities within the scope of combating climate change, reaching net zero by 2053,

·       Carrying out sustainable supply chain studies, supervising our suppliers in this context,

·       Contributing to the social and economic development of the local community in our fields of activity, prioritizing the local employment and local supply,

·       Adopting the principles of equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion; not allowing discrimination based on criteria such as mental or physical disability, religion, language, race, age, socioeconomic status, gender,

·       Providing equal rights and opportunities to all our employees in processes such as remuneration, reward, promotion, performance evaluation,

·       Contributing to gender equality, providing equal opportunities to women in business life and increasing women's employment,

·       Supporting the engagement of young people in employment and their competence development through training/internship programs,

·       Respecting the representation and collective bargaining rights of employees; not tolerating bribery and corruption, as emphasized in the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, complying with all relevant legal regulations and ethical rules,

·       Adopting and implementing the 10 Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, to which we are a signatory as of 2022,

·       Rendering the Sustainability Policy public and accessible to all our employees, the public and all our stakeholders through digital channels,

·       Creating platforms that will allow internal and external stakeholders to provide feedback and suggestions on the environmental, social and corporate governance performance of our institution,
